If you asked me how I made it; I’d tell you it was simply by the grace of God. Just a little country boy from Raceland, La., who fell in love with God and then music…..gospel music at that. Since the age of 11, Ron has been traveling up and down Bayou Lafourche ministering in song, whether vocal or behind the organ bench. Ron has played for numerous churches and youth choirs along the bayou. Growing up under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Louis Clark and the St. John Baptist Church of Napoleonville, Ron developed his craft. Eventually, his talent got him introduced to St. Paul Baptist Church and one of his favorite choirs of all time….The Gilton Family Choir. Ron quickly learned that to be great at this musician’s life would require not just the latest songs and rips but a strong foundation in traditional gospel music.
Later in life after Hurricane Katrina, Ron migrated toward the New Orleans area, where there was a strong demand for church musicians after many had left the city in the aftermath of the horrific tragedy. This new beginning led Ron to a 16-year relationship with the New Home Family Worship Center. From there, opportunities presented themselves and led Ron to a lasting relationship with Cotton Melody’s, Ishmael Cotton. These 2 have recorded 2 singles and worked on countless productions together.
Presently Ron is the minister of Music at Beautiful Zion Baptist Church and Worship Leader of Beacon Light Baptist Church both in Houma, La. He is also the founder and lead vocalist of Ron Hadley and The Worship Squad.
Giving God all of me is not just my desire; but my purpose as well.
Minister Ron C. Hadley
